The Barbour Border Wax Jacket is an established Classic Barbour jacket that has been a staple in the Barbour portfolio for many seasons. The Border Wax has been crafted from 6oz mediumweight thornproof wax cotton, providing waterproof protection from the elements. Although this wax jacket doesn't come with a hood, you can purchase an additional wax hood which is easily applied with stud fastenings to the cord collar.

The Border Wax Jacket from Barbour is much longer than your classic Barbour wax jacket. It's been designed for a 3/4 length covering and has an approximate length ranging between 96.5-99cm depending on the size of the jacket. This longline men's wax jacket is lined with 100% cotton in iconic Barbour tartan. Due to the larger sizing of this jacket, you can fit an extra layer underneath the Border Wax Jacket when the temperature drops.

The Barbour Border Wax Jacket features two internal pockets with detachable pocket bags. There are two large bellows pockets, along with two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets. It has a two-way zip fastening with a stud fastening placket for extra wind protection. The Border Wax is a timeless jacket from Barbour with a longer length and generous fit. It is important that you take care of your waxed coat to ensure that it still looks good and remains a practical option for years to come. To do so, we recommend that you:

-   Clean all excess dirt off the garment and inner lining as soon as possible. Remove using cold water and either a cloth or a sponge, leaving to dry at a cool temperature (never iron the inner lining)

-   Never use detergents or soaps with your jacket, as it could inhibit the waterproofing properties

-   Do not dry clean or pop in a washing machine, as this will remove the waterproof wax layer. Even when re-waxed, the wax may be absorbed by the cotton lining of the coat and soil anything worn beneath

-   Depending upon the garment usage, Barbour recommends that the item is re-waxed every 12-18 months. This can either be done by returning it to a stockist or using Barbour's Thornproof Dressing
