To allow for full unrestricted movement Musto have added stretch to the Scottish wool, keeping warmth whilst increasing flexibility. The Stretch Techical Tweed Waistcoat comes in two colours and patterns that both offer great camouflage and style. You will find that because of the added stretch, the material is lighter than traditional tweeds, aiding freedom of movement even further. The waistcoat is windproof and breathable with a high strength to weight ratio. It has been designed to reduce water pilling and water absorption and has a Teflon water repellent finish.

Tweed is perfect for blending into your surroundings but can sometimes be slightly restrictive, that was the thinking behind the Musto Stretch Technical Tweed. With the new nylon / lycra / wool composition, this tweed offers comfort, flexibility and ease of movement without compromising on the durability that your usual tweed offers. Freedom of movement is important when in the field and this shooting jacket comprises your favourite tweed with that freedom.

The two critically clever parts in the design of this jacket stem from the way the tweed has been woven. Almost all other quality tweed on the market are still based on a simple wool weave, and the unique properties of wool mean it is still the leading raw material for production of tweed. However Musto have cleverly incorperated Nylon to add strength and durability in one direction of weave, and Lycra, to allow stretch and freedom of movement in the other. This not only gives the jacket an exceptional lifespan, but also means it has exceptional freedom of movement. The main drawback with tweed has always been that the weight and cut creates drag across the shoulder, restricting a free swing of the gun. The design of this jacket goes a long way towards minimising that problem.

Stores are open 7 days a week Monday to Sunday. Order collection from our Hereford store is available or we can deliver anything (courier permitting) if we have it in stock. If there's an item not on the website but we have it in stock, an order can still be placed over the telephone for delivery or collection. Standard UK delivery is £4.95 and FREE over £100 in order value. Order collection is free, we do not charge for this service. Our online trading remains open 24hrs a day. We are despatching orders efficiently during Monday to Friday.

For returns from within the UK mainland, please contact us for a prepaid returns label which will be e-mailed to you along with instructions on how to use the label.
