The Kuhn Rikon Culinary Forged Honing Steel is an essential tool for maintaining the performance of your kitchen knives. Made from hard chrome-plated steel, it is designed to keep blades in optimal condition. Over time, knife edges naturally lose their sharpness. This honing steel helps to realign the cutting edge and correct minor imperfections, restoring precision and improving cutting performance. Regular honing helps extend the life of your knives, ensuring they remain sharp, efficient, and reliable for many years.
- Instructions for use:
- 1. Hold the Honing Steel in your hand and place the tip on a non-slip surface.
- 2. Hold the knife at an angle of no more than 15 degrees to the Honing Steel.
- 3. Draw the blade along the entire length of the Honing Steel, starting at the base of the blade and moving towards the tip, while moving down the steel in one go.
- 4. Repeat the process on the other side of the Honing Steel, changing sides 6 to 8 times.

Stores are open 7 days a week Monday to Sunday. Order collection from our Hereford store is available or we can deliver anything (courier permitting) if we have it in stock. If there's an item not on the website but we have it in stock, an order can still be placed over the telephone for delivery or collection. Standard UK delivery is £4.95 and FREE over £100 in order value. Order collection is free, we do not charge for this service. Our online trading remains open 24hrs a day. We are despatching orders efficiently during Monday to Friday.

For returns from within the UK mainland, please contact us for a prepaid returns label which will be e-mailed to you along with instructions on how to use the label.
Exchanges - Label is free of charge
Refunds - The label cost of £6.50 will be deducted from your refund.
